LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. – An Ephrata woman faces charges after she allegedly beat up her friend. It happened on Wednesday night at about 9:52 p.m.  Northern Lancaster County Regional Police responded to a report of an assault at a residence in the 100 block of Meadow Lane, Warwick Township.

After a brief investigation, officers determined that a female victim was alleged to have been struck in the face and dragged on the ground by Ambre Lynn Bontrager, 33, of the 200 block of Church Avenue, Ephrata.

The victim was able to escape from Bontrager, ran into another residence and locked herself inside. Bontrager pounded on the door, breaking the door jamb causing about $500.00 in damage.  The victim’s injuries were not serious and she refused medical treatment.

Bontrager was taken into custody and charged with Burglary, Simple Assault, Criminal Mischief and Public Drunkenness.
