Police were able to make  a quick arrest after a Lancaster Community Safety Coalition (LCSC) camera operator spotted suspicious gun activity taking place on the streets of Lancaster City.

Jose Ortiz-Cintron, 21,  was arrested early Friday morning and is charged with carrying a concealed weapon without a license, prohibited offensive weapons and possession of heroin.

Police said they stopped Ortiz-Cintron in the 200 block of Church Street after a LCSC camera operator saw him on surveillance video pulling a firearm from the waistband of his shorts.

According to police reports, Ortiz-Cintron had a loaded Marlin XT-22 Rifle concealed down the front of his pants.

Authorities said he did not have a license to carry a concealed weapon.

He was also in possession of a small plastic baggie containing heroin, police said.

Ortiz-Cintron was taken to Lancaster County Prison on $10,000 bail.

This marks the second arrest in a week that LCSC camera operators assisted with.
