Police administer Narcan to hit and run driver in York County

MANCHESTER TWP., York County, Pa. — Northern York County Regional Police administered Narcan for the 13th time since they began carrying the kits in March. Around 3:45pm on Tuesday, July 28th, the officers were called to a hit and run crash on Greenbriar Road.  The fleeing vehicle was located in the 1000 block of Church Road.

Police say the 36 year old driver of the fleeing vehicle was under the influence of Heroin and prescription medications. During his interactions with officers, he lost consciousness and began to have difficulty breathing. The officers administered Naloxone to the male and revived him.

He was transported to York Hospital for further treatment.

He will face charges for the hit and run and driving under the influence.
