SALISBURY TOWNSHIP, Pa. - After an EF-2 tornado ripped through parts of Lancaster County, the community wasted no time in rebuilding.  The tornado occurred around 8:00 Wednesday night. The National Weather Service says it had a five mile track. Roofs were ripped off, the Whitehall Amish Schoolhouse was leveled, barns were destroyed and even tombstones toppled.

Friday, over 1,000 volunteers helped to repair roofs, rebuild the Whitehall Amish Schoolhouse and clean up debris. School is expected to begin again Monday.

The Pequea Presbyterian Church says they are working with their insurance company to have tombstones fixed. Some date back to the 1700s.
