One person was flown to the hospital after a crash Saturday morning on the 6000 block of the Carlisle Pike.

Police say it happened around 10:30 a.m. Three-vehicles were involved, an SUV driven by John Thomas of Mechanicsburg, a UPS truck driven by Chad Ebersole of Mount Joy, and a Ford box truck driven by Manuel Chavez of Jacksonville, Florida.

Police have not identified which person was flown to the hospital.  The road was shut down for about two hours and traffic was being detoured by  police.

The Carlisle Pike reopened around 1:00 p.m.

Police say the investigation continues. Anyone with information regarding this crash is asked to contact Hampden Township police department at 717-761-2609.

According to county control It happened around 11 a.m., dispatchers say the road is shut down, and traffic is being detoured by special police units.

There is no word on the severity of injuries. Police say the investigation continues.
