A Cumberland County man and woman are accused of using a stolen debit card to make more than a $1,100 in purchases. The couple are identified as Michael Sponsler, 41, and Lynette Kraus Garcia, 32, both of Mechanicsburg.
Upper Allen Police say the owner of the card had left it at an ATM where it was taken by Sponsler. The card was used at TJ Maxx, WalMart, Wegman’s, Rite Aid, and Target.
Investigators obtained arrest warrants for Sponsler and Kraus Garcia, who turned themselves into police on Monday. Charges against the pair include Access Device Fraud, Conspiracy to Commit Access Device Fraud, Theft by Deception and Identity Theft.
