HARRISBURG, Pa. –A man was arrested after harassing people during the vigil for Orlando last night in Harrisburg. Jacob Bucher III is accused of harassing members of the media as well as other people peacefully assembled at 3rd & Verbeke Streets around 8pm. A PSP Trooper that was there as part of Governor Wolf’s security detail tried to escort Bucher away from the vigil. Police say Bucher began causing a scene and becoming disorderly which led to his arrest. Harrisburg Police Officers were directed to a ‘fight’ by members of the crowd.

The Trooper was holding Bucher against a light pole. Police say Bucher was actively resisting the trooper until additional officers were able to assist in controlling Bucher.  During this time, Bucher continuously made loud derogatory and vulgar statements after being told to stop several times by officers.

As officers tried to control Bucher, he allegedly continued to resist and had to be placed on the ground.  Bucher began violently kicking at officers as they tried to control him.  Once under control Bucher was searched for any weapons and or contraband.  Bucher had three small baggies of marijuana in his right pants pocket.
