DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. – A teacher at Lancaster’s La Academia Charter School faces a sexual assault charge involving a former student. Pennsylvania State Police, Lykens barracks traveled to the school today to arrest William Wesley Baldwin, IV, 40, of Millersburg.
According to court papers, Baldwin groomed and pursued a sexual relationship with the victim, a 17 year old female, from Millersburg, who was one of Baldwin’s former students. He kept in touch with the victim by electronic means and further developed a sexual relationship with her that began in June and continued through the end of July.
Baldwin allegedly had intercourse with the victim at his Millersburg home, the victim’s home on at least one occasion, his vehicle and at various locations in Dauphin County. He is also alleged to have taken the victim to La Academia on at least two occasions during which he made sexual advances to her while they were alone in the classroom.
The victim reported the incidents to State Police on July 31, when her parents became aware of the sexual relationship.
Baldwin is charged with Corruption of Minors.
