Guard Day at the Capitol

A wreath laying ceremony at the state capitol Wednesday in honor of guard day.  The Pennsylvania National Guard hosting the yearly event that shares the guards mission and programs with capitol employees and visitors.  The wreath laying taking place at the statue of Major General John F. Hartranft.  He was Pennsylvania’s 17th Governor.  Major General Hartranft was also the first commanding general of the Pennsylvania National Guard’s 28th Infantry Division, a medal of honor recipient and civil war veteran.
