LANCASTER CO., PA(WPMT) East Lampeter Township Police identify the driver in an early morning crash as Linda Susan Sloan, 62, of New Holland. Sloan was pronounced dead at the scene.
It happened at about 3:25 am along the 400 block East Main Street, Leola. Sloan, who was driving alone, was eastbound when she lost control of her car on the snow covered section of the roadway. She crossed the center-line, striking a mailbox before crashing into a large tree.
Police say speed and road conditions appeared to be factors in the fatal accident.
