NEWBERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A Maryland man died Saturday night during a race at the Susquehanna Speedway Park in York County.
Carnie Fryfogle, 66, of Manchester, MD, crashed in the final lap of the 20-lap All American Outlaw feature event at the track located along the 600 block of York Road in Newberry Township around 11 p.m.
Early Sunday, Susquehanna Speedway spokesperson Lillian Bell issued a statement on behalf of the racetrack: “The thoughts and prayers from the entire SSP family of employees, friends, fans, drivers and crews are with the Fryfogle family during this difficult time.”
