LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. – Lancaster City County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward up to $1,000 for information leading to arrests in two separate robberies at the Dollar General Store, 3515 Columbia Avenue, in East Hempfield Township.

In the first robbery on August 7 at 9:45 p.m. an unknown male entered the store, approached employees and stated “This is a robbery, put your hands up.” The male walked behind the counter and demanded the clerks turn over to him the money from their registers. The clerks gave the suspect the money as requested which he placed into a black backpack. After being given the money, the suspect exited the building and headed West.

The second robbery was on September 4, at 9:30 p.m.  An unknown male entered the store, came around behind the counter and approached the clerks and stated “Give me all the money” twice. The suspect then pulled a white grocery style bag from his pocket and demanded the clerks open the safe. The money was placed into the bag at which point the suspect fled the store and again headed West. The suspect was described as a thin build young black male, approximately 5’5” tall.  He wore black sneakers, black hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants with a white drawstring, and a black ski mask.
