EPHRATA, Pa. – A 20-year-old Lancaster County man pleads guilty to two counts of animal cruelty which lead to the death of his horse.

Marvin Sensenig, of Ephrata, was charged last week, for beating the horse after it had collapsed while pulling a cart loaded with water melons.  It happened near the intersection of Bethany and Brossman Roads in Ephrata.  Efforts to save the horse failed and it was eventually euthanized.

Sensenig entered his guilty plead on Monday in district court. He paid $300 on each count plus court costs for a total of $754.00.
