UPDATE: Police say the baby has been found safely, a suspect is currently being questioned.
PREVIOUSLY:
Upper Merion Township, Montgomery County- Pennsylvania State Police have issued an Amber Child Abduction Alert for a 7-week-old baby boy.
Police responded to the food court area for the King of Prussia Plaza mall after a report for an abduction Thursday evening around 5:35PM.
Police say the suspect befriended the family of the boy and spent about 30 minutes with them. When the baby became fussy, police say the suspect was granted permission to hold him while the child’s mother took a phone call. Police say the suspect then fled with the child.
The suspect is described as a dark skinned black female, approximately 25-30 years old, around 5’2″ with a medium build, and black dread locks. She was last seen wearing a light color shirt, dark pants and black sneakers, carrying an orange purse. She was seen exiting the mall in the area by Bonefish Grill.
The woman was carrying the victim, Ahsir Simmons, a 7-week-old baby boy. The infant was wearing a bright orange shirt and blue jeans. He has dark skin and black hair.
