Police: Apartment building targeted in Shippensburg shots fired incident

Shots rang out around 5:40 a.m. along East King Street.

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. — Police are investigating after shots rang out in Shippensburg early Wednesday. 

According to the Shippensburg Police Department, the incident happened around 5:20 a.m. on Dec. 13 when an unknown suspect fired a gun into an apartment building in the 200 block of East King Street.

Police say it appears that a specific apartment was targeted.

No one was injured as a result of the incident.

Pennsylvania State Police - Carlisle and the Shippensburg University Police Department assisted the SPD.  The investigation is ongoing.
