Teenager charged as adult in Lancaster shooting

According to the Lancaster City Bureau of Police, William Martin, 16, has been charged as an adult after a shooting that injured one.

LANCASTER, Pa. —

Update, March 27: There has been an arrest made after a shooting in Lancaster left one injured on March 19.

William Martin, 16, has been charged as an adult in connection to the shooting.

Martin has been charged with one count of Aggravated Assault, five counts of Firing into an Occupied Structure, one count of Carrying a Firearm without a License, one count of Possession of a Firearm by a Minor and six counts of Recklessly Endangering Another Person.

He is currently being held in Lancaster County Youth Intervention Center, with his bail denied.

Previous: Lancaster County police are currently investigating a shooting that left one injured on Tuesday.

According to the Lancaster City Bureau of Police, officers were dispatched to the area of 200 West Grant Street just after 5 p.m. following reports of a shooting.

At the scene, police discovered one juvenile victim with non-life-threatening gunshot injuries. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Police stated that no suspects were located at the scene and they are still actively investigating.
