LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — A Lancaster County teen was arrested earlier this month after allegedly stabbing a woman in the back of the head while she was driving.

A 15-year-old is accused of stabbing the woman at 6:45 a.m. on Feb. 2 as she drove on Susquehannock Drive in Martic Township. Pennsylvania State Police say the teen was sitting in the backseat of the car when he stabbed the woman in the back right side of her head. Responding troopers allegedly saw a large cut on the back of her head above her ear.

The stabbing caused the driver to swerve partway off the road and then into oncoming traffic, according to PSP.

A witness behind the car called 911.

Troopers say the 15-year-old got out of the car, threw the knife into the woods, then ran. PSP allegedly found him a short time later near the scene with blood on his hands.
