Lancaster non-profit hosts 'Feast of the Senses' to benefit mental health initiatives

The event on May 9 will benefit Touchstone Foundation's five core programs, aimed at helping kids and families in Lancaster County

LANCASTER, Pa. — A unique dining experience for a good cause is coming to Lancaster for its third year.

The annual Feast of the Senses dinner by Touchstone Foundation is coming back for 2024. The yearly fundraising event is a way for the non-profit to raise money, while also bringing awareness to the organization's mission.

"It's our signature fundraising event," said Touchstone Foundation Executive Director Anna Kennedy. "Our mission is to focus on youth mental wellness in Lancaster County, so with the focus on youth we want to create an immersive experience for our guests, so we're inspired by the five senses."

Attendees of the fundraising event will embark on a journey exploring sight, touch, sound, scent and taste through delicious food and drink pairings while learning more about the Touchstone Foundation, and how the organization is championing mental well-being for young people in Lancaster.

The money raised will go directly back to Touchstone Foundation programs.

"This year we're really focusing on the increased need in children's mental health throughout our country, throughout Pennsylvania," said Kennedy.

Touchstone's programs are exemplary of that, like their Mental Health Access Assistance program. Touchstone contributes up to $50 per visit towards a copay or deductible to help families afford therapy.

The other programs include Mental Health Career Scholarships, or Mental Health Clinical Fellowships. These programs provide people interested in pursuing a field in mental health help to do so.

Guests must RSVP for the event by April 11.

Tickets are $150. For more information, click here.
