PENNSYLVANIA, USA — Beer lovers who have always wanted to name a can are in luck - Evil Genius Beer Company is asking for the public's assistance in naming their next great beer of 2024.

For the past twelve years, the Philadelphia-based company has prided itself on its "Very Silly Names for Very Serious Beers", with beers such as "Stacy's Mom" and "There's No Crying in Baseball".

Now, the brewers are inviting the public to participate in the naming process with a competition to name one of their upcoming releases. The winner will have their name suggestion on an Evil Genius beer, and win a $500 gift card to the Evil Genius taproom in Fishtown.

The specially named brew will then be released as a can, and be available across the Evil Genius ten-state distribution network.

"Nostalgia is at the very core of what we do," said Evil Genius Marketing Manager Ryan Keller. "We want to make sure that with every sip, you're not just tasting a good beer; but also, evoking positive memories along with it. We want to give our consumers the chance to make that happen for themselves and get directly involved in the process with this contest."

Participants can visit any of Evil Genius' social media accounts to get involved until the contest ends on Friday, Nov. 3 at midnight. To submit name suggestions, simply scroll to the company's recent post about the contest and post your suggestion in the comments!

Once submissions close, names will be reviewed by the Evil Genius team who will select their top five beer names. These names will then go to a public social media poll on Monday, Nov. 6 across all Evil Genuis social media accounts.

The style of the unreleased beer has yet to be determined, but it will be brewed and sent to retailers around June 2024.
