York St. Patrick's Day Parade goes through the city on Saturday

The parade starts on Market Street in York at 1:00 p.m.

YORK, Pa. — The York St. Patrick's Day Parade will be returning for it's 38th year on Saturday.

The parade starts on Market Street at 1:00 p.m.

There will be plenty of family fun including face painting and other crafts at Continental Square.

There is also an array of Irish Dancing all over the city before the parade:

  • 11 a.m.-12 noon: Ni Riain School of Irish Dance will perform at Central Market
  • 11:30 a.m.-12 noon: Oh! Gills Irish Dance Team will perform at Martin Library
  • 11:30 a.m.-12 noon: Miss Teen PA Lizzie Shacklett will perform at The Yorktowne Hotel
  • 12 noon-12:30 p.m.: Doherty Petri School of Irish Dance will perform at Gift Horse Brewing Company (note venue change from Penn Market)

There will be road closures on Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Market Street between the intersection of West Market and Belvidere Avenue to the intersection of East Market and South Queen Street.

The City of York also issued a no-parking order on George Street between Philadelphia Street and King Street.
