DENVER — Starbucks is ready for the spring season.

The Seattle-based coffee giant released two new drinks for the season on Thursday.

Starbucks announced it is introducing lavender to its menu for the first time with the two new beverages — the Iced Lavender Cream Oatmilk Matcha and Iced Lavender Oatmilk Latte.

The new drinks are available in the U.S. and Canada for a limited time while supplies last.

Starbucks said the Iced Lavender Oatmilk Latte combines Starbucks Blonde Espresso oatmilk, ice and notes of lavender.

“Lavender is the perfect flavor to transition us from the winter season into spring,” said Starbucks beverage developer Patrick Penny. “Its soft sweetness, light floral notes and beautiful color ignite feelings of rejuvenation and awakening associated with the change of seasons.”

“When creating the new Iced Lavender Cream Oatmilk Matcha, we wanted to capture the uplifting energy of spring in a cup,” Penny added. “The vibrant green matcha topped with lavender-hued cold foam delivers a delightfully colorful and unexpectedly delicious flavor combination.”

“We aimed to create a really balanced, delicious beverage,” Penny said. “The oatmilk and the Starbucks Blonde Espresso make a lovely pairing, providing a smooth, well-rounded profile that is complemented by the floral and vanilla flavors of lavender.”
