HERSHEY, Pa. — Wawa has submitted its preliminary plan for a Hershey location.

According to a letter addressed to the Derry Township Planning Commission, the proposed location is at 1245 Cocoa Avenue, at the northeast corner of the intersection of Fishburn Road and Cocoa Avenue. The location currently contains a vacant bank building that has access to both PennDOT roadways.

The company is proposing a new 5,585-square-foot convenience store with 16 gas pumps (eight dual pumps).

In December, TRUE Commerical Real Estate announced plans to build a Wawa along West Market Street/Route 30 in West York.

The Hershey plans are preliminary and still require approval by the Derry Township Board of Commissioners.
