Tröegs Independent Brewing hosts World Down Syndrome Day celebration

The festival-like event was filled with activities, entertainment, live music and opportunities for community engagement.

HERSHEY, Pa. — A local nonprofit partnered with Tröegs Independent Brewing in Derry Township, Dauphin County, for a World Down Syndrome Day Celebration of Inclusion.

3.21 For Life is a Hershey-based organization dedicated to supporting individuals with Down syndrome. They say their Celebration of Inclusion event, themed "ignite the spark," aimed to raise funds for the 3.21 For Life mission while shining a bright light on the remarkable capabilities of individuals with Down syndrome.

The festival-like event was filled with activities, entertainment, live music and opportunities for community engagement. Attendees had the chance to learn more about the unique attributes of individuals with Down syndrome and participate in various activities alongside them.

The Celebration of Inclusion event was held from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The date of March 21 holds special significance, as it symbolizes the triplication of the 21st chromosome, unique to individuals with Down syndrome.
