Rain and strong winds leave many in Central Pa. without power

According to both PPL and Met-Ed power outage maps, thousands of people are without power after a storm with high winds swept through the area.

YORK, Pa. — Update, April 23: As of Sunday morning, hundreds of people in Lancaster and York Counties remain without power.

FOX43 reached out to both PPL and Met-Ed to ask when people can expect to get their power restored but have not heard back.

Previous: Thousands of people in Central Pennsylvania. are experiencing power outages after a storm with high winds swept through the area.

According to the PPL power outage map, almost 10,700 of their customers are without power in Lancaster County.

Met-Ed's power outage map shows almost 500 people affected in Dauphin County and more than 3,000 of their customers without power in York County.

Met-Ed estimates getting power restored as early as 5:30 p.m. in Dauphin County and as late as 7 p.m. in York County.

PPL is working on getting power restored to their customers by 10 p.m.
