Foggy start with a few showers today, drier weather returns Friday

Any lingering showers today will be light and confined to areas east of Harrisburg. Winds pick up as we dry out tomorrow!

PENNSYLVANIA, USA — FEW LINGERING SHOWERS: We continue tracking a slow moving cold front which brings a few more showers for areas east of Harrisburg today. Any rain will be light and should taper off through the afternoon. Otherwise it's a foggy start to Thursday with patchy dense fog across the area. Temperatures are in the 40s to start and only climb into the low 50s this afternoon with a light breeze out of the north. Skies are mostly cloudy through most of the day with decreasing cloud coverage as we go overnight.

TURNING BREEZY: Friday features more sunshine but also breezy conditions! Winds will pick up with wind gusts nearing 30 mph through the afternoon and evening. Temperatures are cooler to start with lows in the low to middle 30s, though afternoon highs climb a touch higher as they reach the middle 50s. No rain expected so any Good Friday plans are in the clear as we start the Easter holiday weekend.

EASTER OUTLOOK: We stay in an unsettled pattern with on and off chances for showers over the next week. Saturday features our next rain chance, though scattered showers will be confined to the second half of the day. Temperatures will start in the 30s once again with highs in the mid to upper 50s. We dry out for Easter as a breeze picks up. Temperatures will be milder with highs in the low 60s! Looking ahead to the new week, we turn cooler once again with highs dropping 10 degrees into the low 50s and more rain chances returning. Keep the umbrella handy!
