EAST LAMPETER TOWNSHIP, LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa.–All weekend activities scheduled at Conestoga Valley High School have been cancelled after fire tore through a maintenance garage, causing between $250,000 and $400,000 in damage.

Fire broke inside an attached maintenance garage located along the 2100 block of Horseshoe Road in East Lampeter Township around around 11:15 p.m. Friday.

Investigators say the fire originated at the rear of a maintenance utility vehicle which was parked inside of the garage at the rear of the school. The vehicle was used Friday afternoon, before being parked in the garage.

School officials are still assessing the extent of the damage , according to the district website.

The high school/middle school instrumental concert which was originally scheduled for  Sunday, Dec. 4 has been postponed to Sunday, Dec. 18 at 3 p.m.
