One man found dead after shooting in York City

The York County Coroner identified the 24-year-old man who was shot in a residence in York City as DaJuan Williams-Banks.

YORK, Pa. — Update, (3/8/22): Following an autopsy performed Monday, March 7, the York County Coroner determined DaJuan Williams-Banks cause of death to be from multiple gunshot wounds and his manner of death as homicide. 

Update, (3/7/22): The York County Coroner released the identity of the 24-year-old man who was found deceased on Saturday, March 5 on the 300 block of West North St. as DaJuan Williams-Banks of York.

According to the coroner, Williams-Banks was shot inside a York City home and pronounced dead at the scene at 6:22 p.m. 

His cause and manner of death are pending an autopsy scheduled for Monday, March 7 at 8 a.m.

Previously:

The York County Coroner was called following a Saturday afternoon shooting in York City, according to county 911.

Police were dispatched to the 300 block of West North Street just before 4 p.m. for a reported shooting.

The victim, described by police as a 24-year-old man, was dead when they arrived at the scene.

York City Police is investigating.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday, March 7, at Lehigh Valley Hospital.
