YORK COUNTY, Pa.-- A common test used to determine fitness is the sit-to-stand test.
Typically, it involves five squats to a chair that are timed.
The idea is to do all five squats in under 15 seconds.
If a person cannot complete this exercise, it is likely a sign that that person needs some strength training to improve quality of life.
Today on FOX43 Morning News, Danny Amon from the York JCC stopped by the set to demonstrate the test.
