Lancaster man dies following crash in Lancaster County

The Lancaster County Coroner’s Office and Forensic Center has confirmed that Tyrone L. Gardner, 43, of Coatesville, died in the crash.

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — Update 8/17: East Lampeter Township Police confirmed that a pickup truck and a motorcycle were involved in the crash 

Tyrone L. Gardner was operating the motorcycle.

The collision occurred as the truck attempted to make a left-hand turn from Route 462 onto Route 30 in front of the motorcycle. The motorcycle, continuing west on Route 462, struck the passenger side front corner of the truck.

The crash is still under investigation and no one is facing charges at this time.

Update 8/15: The Lancaster County Coroner’s Office and Forensic Center has confirmed that Tyrone L. Gardner, 43, of Coatesville, died in the crash that occurred at the intersection of Route 462 and Route 30 westbound.

He died of multiple traumatic injuries accidentally. 

Previously: 

Officials with Lancaster County 911 dispatch confirmed that the coroner was called to a vehicle crash in Lancaster County.

First responders were dispatched to the crash in East Lampeter Township at 10:10 p.m. on Aug. 14.

There is no word yet on how many vehicles were involved or what caused the crash, but dispatch has confirmed it is fatal.

East Lampeter Township Police are investigating.
