Update: Police release name of driver who died in West Earl Township crash

The cause of the crash is still unknown and police are asking for witnesses to contact them to help in their investigation.

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — Update (September 27): Police have released the identity of the driver who died in the two-vehicle crash in West Earl Township Saturday morning.

Karen Miller, 61 of Lancaster died and was the driver of the Volvo sedan, according to police.

Authorities say the driver of the pickup truck was identified as Justin Brubacker, 20 of Richland.

No charges have been filed at this time, police said. 

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

Update (12:26 p.m.): One person is dead after a two-vehicle crash in West Earl Township, police said in a release.

The driver of one of the vehicles was pronounced dead at the scene and the other driver was uninjured according to officials.

Police are not disclosing the names of those involved at this time.

The crash is under investigation by the West Earl Township Police Department with help from the Lancaster County Crash Team.

Police said the cause of the crash is still unknown and ask any witnesses to contact Detective Ray at 717-859-1411 extension 118 or Officer Fred Riccelli at extension 116.

The Lancaster County Coroner was called to the scene of an early morning crash in West Earl Township, emergency dispatchers said.

First responders were dispatched to the intersection of Route 772 and Route 272 around 6:45 a.m. for a two-vehicle crash.

The coroner was called to the scene of the crash, county dispatch said.

West Earl Township Police Department is investigating the crash.
