Seven puppies abandoned in Cumberland County, police search for suspect

The abandonment poses a significant health risk to the puppies, as they are care-dependent and have been separated from their mother.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. — Cumberland County police are searching for an individual responsible for abandoning seven puppies in Enola. 

According to the East Pennsboro Township Police Department, on Oct. 11, an unidentified man contacted police stating that he had found seven puppies near the Susquehanna-Perry Park in Enola. The man only provided police with a possible name of "Chris."

Shortly, officers located a milk crate containing seven puppies that had been left abandoned on the stairs at the East Pennsboro Township Police Department.

This act of abandonment poses a significant health risk to the puppies, as they are care-dependent and have been separated from their mother. 

Officers are seeking the public's help in identifying the individual responsible. Anyone who recognizes the individual in the attached photos or has information regarding the incident has been asked to contact the East Pennsboro Township Police Department or Detective Anthony Fiore at 717-732-3633 Ext. 1620 or email ANF@Eastpennsboropd.com.
