YORK COUNTY, Pa. – Northeastern School District Superintendent Shawn Minnich, who turns 44 on Saturday, is charged with assault in a domestic disturbance involving his estranged wife. According to court filings Minnich was arrested last week, December 4 at his estranged wife’s East Manchester Township home. He was arraigned on December 5 and then released after posting $15,000 bail on December 7.
Minnich according to the criminal complaint forced his way into his estranged wife’s home and assaulted her male companion. Northeastern Regional Police, who responded to the scene arrested and charged Minnich with Burglary, Criminal Trespass, Simple Assault, Recklessly Endangering Another Person, Criminal Mischief and Harassment.
A preliminary hearing on the charges is scheduled for December 21 before District Magistrate Robert Eckenrode.
Minnich has been superintendent of Northeastern School District since July 1, 2013.
