SUSQUEHANNA TWP., Pa. - A 41 year old worker is flown to Hershey Medical Center after he is freed from a collapsed trench.  It happen at about 1 o'clock this afternoon at a home in the 1800 block of Pebble Court in Susquehanna Township.

The unidentified worker, who was working on a sewer line, was trapped for about three hours. The trench he was working in apparently collapsed due to the wet conditions.  He was buried up to his chest.  Emergency crews had to stabilize the sides of the trench before effecting a rescue.

The victim was alive and conscious when he was finally freed and then flown immediately to Penn State Hershey Medical Center. No word on his condition.
