Shooting on 18th and Market Streets

DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa.– Update: Police are investigating two shootings in Harrisburg.

Around 11:30 p.m. Sunday, police were called to the area of 16th and Market Streets for reports of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers located two individuals with non-life-threatening injuries. They were both transported to the hospital.

At 11:35 p.m., officers were dispatched to the intersection of 18th and Market Streets for a report of two men being shot. Police found the men with gunshot wounds. They were also taken to the hospital for treatment.

“There’s nothing that indicates they [the shootings] are connected,” said Sgt. Kyle Gautsch. “Obviously, the close proximity is reason enough for us to investigate it to determine whether or not they are connected.”

Police add that there’s no indication of any sort of danger or threat to the public.

Investigations are ongoing.
