Three people were injured in a crash on Route 30 early this morning. It happened around 4:45am on Lincoln Highway West, near Roth’s Church Road in Jackson Township.

Northern York County Regional Police say a car crossed into the center turning lane and hit a pickup truck that was trying to make a left turn. Edwin Gunnet, 57, of Jackson Township, was driving a eastbound on Lincoln Highway.  Police say he crossed into the turning lane and hit a 1999 Ford pickup operated by Cory Thoman, 33, of Scenic View Lane in North Codorus Township that was traveling in the opposite direction and preparing to turn. The vehicles struck head on.

Gunnet had to be extricated from his vehicle.  He was transported to York Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

Thoman and his passenger, Floyd McWilliams III, 35, of Spring Grove, were also transported to York Hospital for moderate injuries.
