A man robbed the Mid Penn Bank on the 4500 block of Derry Street Monday afternoon. Police say the suspect handed a teller a note saying he had a gun. No weapon was ever displayed, however. The teller gave the man an undisclosed amount of cash before he fled on foot. He was last seen running to the east side of the bank building. Police searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. No one was injured during the robbery.
The suspect is described as a black male, probably in his 30’s, about 5’10 and weighing 220 pounds. He was wearing a black baseball cap, large black sunglasses, black cargo-style shorts and a plain white t-shirt. He also sported black sneakers with white socks pulled over his shins.
