The Mental Health Association of the Capitol Region hosted the first annual "Battle of the Banks" at Susquehanna Township High School in Dauphin County on Sunday.
Teams from various financial institutions from the Capitol Region competed against each other in fun challenges like interest rate limbo and drive-up teller. All proceeds will help the MHACR provide education, outreach services, and training for Youth Mental Health First Aid in the community.
"We're very pleased with the turnout. Regardless of the number of people who come, we know there is going to be tons of energy in the room. We're just happy to be here, today. Hopefully the teams will have fun and people will also learn about the work that our organization does," Executive Director of MHACR, Julia Mallory said.
Money raise will also help provide resources and referrals for people in recovery from mental illness or for those still in need of support living in Dauphin, Cumberland, and Perry counties.
