LANCASTER, Pa.–A 25-year-old woman is recovering after being shot in Lancaster City on Saturday night.

Police responded to Lancaster General Hospital shortly after 10 p.m. for a report of a shooting victim that arrived at the hospital.

The woman had been shot in the torso outside of Hoffman Terrace, near the 200 block of West Mifflin Street, investigators said. She was dropped off at the hospital in a private vehicle.

Authorities said they do not believe the shooting was a random act and the suspect and victim knew each other.

So far, the suspect has not been taken into custody.
