MANHEIM TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- Reigning U.S. Women's Open champ, Michelle Wie, hit the greens in Lancaster County on Sunday.
The golfer has been getting in some last-minute practice, preparing for this week's 70th Open at the Lancaster Country Club in Manheim Township.
Wie competed in her first LPGA tour event at the age of 12 and attempted to qualify for the U.S. Open at just 16-years old.
In 2014, Wie took home top honors at the U.S. Open in Pinehurst, North Carolina.
Wie has made a name for herself; with some people calling her the next Tiger Woods. Now, 24-years old she says LCC's course is challenging.
"There's definitely a challenging hole, there are also holes that can make you birdie on. It's a great layout, you know, you get a mix of everything," Wie says.
Wie has been suffering from a hip injury, which some believe may affect her game. She is hoping for a good week as she goes for a second U.S. Open trophy.
