Chaos broke out in Nice, France Friday, July 15, when innocent bystanders were celebrating Bastille Day celebrations — France’s equivalent to July 4.
French President Francois Hollande addressed his nation early Friday, saying the attack, which claimed scores of lives, is a terrorist attack that cannot be ignored.
“It’s clear we have to do everything to ensure that we can fight against the scourge of terrorism,” he said.
Both the Republican National Convention and the Democratic National Convention that are scheduled events in the summer will define the path forward to whom will become the 45th president of the United States. Either presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump or presumptive Democrat nominee Hillary Clinton will decide how America responds to terrorism.
