Police seek to ID suspects in gun shop burglary

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. – Northwest Regional Police seek help from the public in identifying the two suspects in the weekend burglary of the Trop Gun shop.

It happened at about 1:24 a.m Saturday, May 29 at the shop at 910 N. Hanover Street, in Mount Joy Township. The sound of breaking glass activated the store’s burglar alarm. The bandits quickly smashed glass display cases and snatched up 9 handguns that included semi-automatics and revolvers. The suspects were inside the store for only minutes, and fled before police arrived on the scene.

One suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, about 160 pounds. He was wearing a green rain resistant style jacket with hood and blue jeans. The other suspect is described as a light skinned male, about 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall, about 180 pounds. He was wearing a black hoody and blue jeans.

Anyone in the area at the time of the burglary and noticed any suspicious vehicles or have any information on the incident is asked to contact Northwest Regional Police Detective Frank H. Ember, Jr., at (717) 367-3382 ext 111.
