YORK, Pa. – A thousand Metropolitan Edison customers in Dallastown and Red Lion boroughs in York County will be without power overnight. Met Ed says the planned power outage will occur from 1 am until 5 am Friday morning.
Met Ed crews will use the time to replace some equipment. The work is aimed at improving the reliability of the electric grid. There is also the possibility the work may extend the power outage beyond 5 am.
Customers were notified of the planned power outage over the past couple of weeks. Dallastown also alerted residents on the borough webpage of the power outage.
24 hour convenience stores may be closed during the power outage and traffic signals will go dark.
