It’s been almost a year since a Lebanon County woman was reported missing.

But despite what little her family knows — the fight to find Kortne Stouffer hasn’t slowed down.

Monday marks one year since 22 year old Kortne Stouffer was last seen at her Palmyra apartment.

FOX43 spoke with family members on this painful anniversary.

The hope they’ve showed since day one hasn’t faded.

Walking down West Main Street on Sunday afternoon, you can hear sounds of tape being placed on telephone poles.

Despite a lack of leads, a mother is determined.

“We haven’t found her so there has to be answers…” says Wendy Stouffer.

When we caught up with Wendy Stouffer she had been out taping signs of her daughter for 8 hours.

“We’re not going to give up until we find out what happened to her she’s my baby girl I can’t give up,” says Wendy Stouffer.

Kortne’s father Scott, calls his daughter his “hippie girl”.

You can pretty much figure out her personality from the shirts her family wears.

“Kortne brought a simplicity to life that’s refreshing,” says Scott Stouffer.

Scott Stouffer says somebody out there has to have answers to what happened in the wee hours of July 29th of last year.

“There’s a 42 thousand dollar reward and yeah that’s something but they just got to understand that a lot of people miss this girl you know there’s a lot and we just want some closure and we want to know where she’s at,” says Scott Stouffer.

Kortne’s aunt says the past year has been a nightmare.

“You never ever in a million years think something like this is going to happen to your family… it happens to everyone else’s not yours,” says Dottie Kipp, Kortne’s aunt.

Family and friends light this bonfire tonight with one hope…

“That she feels it wherever she’s at,” says Scott Stouffer.

Scott Stouffer says police are absolutely baffled that they don’t have more answers.
