Lancaster City Police are investigating a triple shooting that left one person dead and two others hurt.

According to police 28-year-old Lamar Clark fired five shots around 10:00 p.m. Friday after getting into an argument with another man inside Shenk’s Café located at 549 E. Chestnut Street.

Police say three people were hit during the shooting and they all were not the intended target. A 58-year-old man who was shot, was taken to the hospital where he died as a result of his injuries. A 25-year-old man was hit in the arm and a 60-year-old woman was in the chest police said. They both were taken to the hospital, their condition is currently unknown.

According to police after the shooting Clark ran to the parking lot of the Turkey Hill at 413 E. Chestnut Street, got into a car and gave the gun used in the shooting to a teenage boy sitting in the backseat. The boy’s mother was inside the Turkey Hill at the time.

Police were able to track Clark down in the area of Plum and Chestnut Street. Clark is now in Lancaster County prison and is  facing multiple charges including criminal homicide and 2 counts of criminal attempt to commit homicide
