Doctors are looking into how former Olympian Meskerem Legesse of Ethiopia, who was eight months pregnant, died.  She and her family now live in Westport, Connecticut, and she had been dining with her two year old son when she collapsed. .

The baby she was carrying is said to be doing well. A family friend says the children are with their father now and arrangements are being made to bring Legesse’s body to Ethiopia. They also said she had heart problems.

Legesse ran the 1,500 meter race for Ethiopia in the 2004 Athens Olympics.
