At least four people injured after eight vehicle crash on Route 322 in Dauphin County

DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa.– At least four people were injured after a crash involving eight vehicles.

The crash occurred on Route 322 Eastbound in Dauphin Borough around 7:00 a.m. on August 28.

According to the crash release, the crash occurred about 500 feet east of the Route 225 on-ramp.

The crash occurred as a 2010 Honda Fit began to slow down for heavy, stopped traffic ahead in the left lane.

The release says that a 2015 Chevrolet Cruze was unable to stop, and struck the rear end of the Fit, pushing it into a 2017 Honda Civic.

Five more vehicles were all following the Cruze, and were unable to stop, and all struck each other.

Seven of the eight vehicles involved sustained disabling damage, and at least four people were injured in the crash.

The extent of those injuries are unknown at this time.
