CAMERON COUNTY, Pa. – A missing hunter from Lancaster County was found dead in Cameron County. Linwood David Walters, 61, of Bainbridge was reported missing by family members on Monday in Cameron County where he had gone hunting alone. Hundreds of searchers from 17 different agencies responded to a call from Cameron County Emergency Management to look for Walters.
They found him, unresponsive, at about 2:30 Wednesday afternoon in the heavily wooded Bog Ore Hollow area off of Wykoff Run Road in Gibson Township. Walters was pronounced dead at the scene by the Cameron County Coroner. His body was recovered by members of the Air Force Para-Jumpers from New York. Cause of death was ruled by natural causes.
