YORK COUNTY, Pa.– UPDATE (August 16): A Wormleysburg man is dead after a motorcycle crash.

Paul Swartz, 56, died as the result of blunt force head trauma in the crash.

Around 11:00 a.m. on August 15, the coroner was dispatched to the area of Pleasant View Drive and Red Mill Road in Newberry Township for a reported crash with entrapment.

According to the coroner’s release, a pedestrian passerby had reportedly found the body of an adult man and a motorcycle in that area.

The release says that it became apparent that the man, later identified as Swartz, had been the driver of the motorcycle when it was involved in a crash.

The coroner says that the crash had to have occurred at least a day or more earlier, as Swartz’s body appeared to have been there for a day or more, and was not easily visible from the nearby roadway.

PREVIOUSLY: A man was found dead Thursday after an apparent motorcycle crash that appears to have happened sometime Wednesday, according to the York County Coroner’s Office.

The coroner’s office was dispatched to the area of Pleasant View Drive and Red Mill Road in Newberry Township at 10:55 a.m. Thursday.

Deputy Coroner Michele Kirchner responded to the scene and certified the death.
