LEMOYNE, Pa.–A Cumberland County man was arrested Sunday after police said he threw lit firecrackers into a crowd who were watching a Labor Day fireworks display in Lemoyne.

David S. Fishel, 68, of Lemoyne, is charged with simple assault and recklessly endangering another person.

Police responded to Negley Park around 8:45 p.m. Sunday for reports of a man lighting firecrackers and throwing them into crowds of people. Folks were watching the Harrisburg Fireworks display at the park. Witnesses were able to identify Fishel as the man who was throwing the firecrackers, police said.

He was subsequently arrested and  taken to Cumberland County Prison for processing.
