LEBANON COUNTY, Pa. — The Lebanon VA Medical Center reopened Building 17 at 11:30 a.m. today following a bomb threat earlier in the morning. The facility was cleared by emergency response officials who used canines trained to find explosives. No explosives were discovered. Building 17 primarily houses the center’s outpatient services. As a result of the incident, appointments scheduled in Building 17 for July 14, 2016, were rescheduled.
“We apologize to those who were inconvenienced by this emergency. We are working to reschedule any appointments which were cancelled as a result of this,” said Douglas Etter, Chief Communications Officer, Lebanon VA Medical Center. “The safety of Veterans and our staff remains our number one priority.”
